Chaos

Try not to run so far away
so far that we can’t see your face
so far that you become a distant memory
I know it’s hard to stay awake
when you feel stuck in the place
trying to face the fact it’s time for you to leave
not everything is beauty
slow down cause every minute every hour pass by all too fast
look up and reach out to the clouds like mountains
home is not far past
I dreamt that I was somewhere else
A place I thought could be hell
A place that only ghosts can bring you to your knees
I know it’s hard to stay away
just try to have a little faith
try not to forget this isn’t your reprieve
a solemn soliloquy
slow down cause every minute every hour pass by all too fast
look up and reach out to the clouds like mountains
home is not far past

Fever Dream
04:40
|

I think I've started to wake up
From this fever dream
Where everyone around me
Has lost their will to breathe
And in the distance there's a mountain
The smell of burning leaves
Glory to the things we cannot see
You don't need to say it cause everyone already knows, how the story goes.
Do nothing but hate it and commiserate it oh, in the undertow.
Blinded by faith unknowing its definite hold, burden on your soul.
What if it's all a waste, staring right in your face, nothing in the glow.
I think this might be a quandary
As far as I can see
A tourniquet for the mind
Conviction of creed
And in the distance there is fire
Destruction of cities
Glory to the things we'll never see
You don't need to say it cause everyone already knows, how the story goes.
Do nothing but hate it and commiserate it oh, in the undertow.
Blinded by faith unknowing its definite hold, burden on your soul.
What if it's all a waste, staring right in your face, as above so below.
You don't need to say it cause everyone already knows, how the story goes.
Do nothing but hate it and commiserate it oh, in the undertow.
Blinded by faith unknowing its definite hold, burden on your soul.
What if it's all a waste, staring right in your face, nothing to behold.

Mend

How could you move on without some closure? You think some strength and will could be all that you need. You need to look deep inside yourself, stop tinkering with the lock and key.
Do you feel the love that's all around? Everywhere you go you leave part of yourself. Part of the pain that's haunted you for years, part of the pain that's made you feel fear. Don't go away, you're finally making progress. Mending the tears in the fabric of your conscience.
Doesn’t it seem like things are starting to get better?
The water is calming the cloud start to part.
This is where you leave it all behind you, believe that this could be a new start.
You think you’ve found a way to speed up this process,
all you need is the patience to stop this.
Try to flee from the wolves at the door, all it does is leave you wanting more.
Do you feel the love that's all around? Everywhere you go you leave part of yourself. Part of the pain that's haunted you for years, part of the pain that's made you feel fear. Don't go away, you're finally making progress. Mending the tears in the fabric of your conscience.

Old Oak

I can’t tell you how many times I’ve seen this tree.
From my point of view it looks just like me
Cause every year I grow so much just to lose my leaves
when they fall on your face will they remind you of me
Your mark is covered in ice and snow, but I promise I will always know the place you lay your head under that oak.
Your mark is covered in ice and snow, but I promise I will always know the place you lay your head under that oak.
I’ll leave a stone to prove to you that I’m still here and pushing through, the trials that leave me so discreet I almost always land on my feet. Your life will never be complete if all you see is from the passenger’s seat. So help me let go of my anxieties.
Your mark is covered in ice and snow, but I promise I will always know the place you lay your head under that oak.
Your mark is covered in ice and snow, but I promise I will always know the place you lay your head under that oak.
